County Council

The County has operated as a Charter County since 1957 and is governed by an elected County Executive and a seven-member County Council. Rachel Frazier a Reference Archivist at the Maryland State Archives directed me to the Maryland Manual and the Maryland Manual 1955-56 pages 237-241 which contain the county commisioners for that year and years prior. Similarly a librarian from the Baltimore County Public Library directed me to Index to Names of Officeholders (1635-1990) and Acronyms for Offices as a combination of materials that might help me identify previous legislators.
