Meshtastic

Frequency Change

Starting Saturday, August 1st at 10pm a group of organized Philadelphia Mesh users will be switching from the default frequency preset to a custom one to test if custom presets are more reliable than the default. Frequency Testing Explanation - Philly Mesh

These nodes are currently operating on 'Long Turbo, Channel 12' or LT12.

  • LSB1 (8b12) - Lower Salford Base: omnidirectional 6db from Morwood Road & Main Street
  • LSP1 (e83c) - Portable 1: Heltec 3 for park use and stuff Burned out during charge

Interactive Services

As part of my Meshtastic setup I have a small script that streams information from the county's WebCAD Active Incidents page (similar to the one I have as a Mastodon bot) over the air to a channel called #MontCoPaDPS. After discussion with folks on the Philly Mesh Discord, I published the latest code to vees/montcopadps and opened an issue that when completed will turn it into a more interactive and less network congesting tool.
